# Delete a workload identity provider

**DELETE** `/workload-identity-providers/{provider_id}`

Fails with 409 while a role trust policy references the provider.

## Path parameters

- `provider_id: string`

  Provider ID

## Headers

- `Authorization: string`

  `Bearer <token>`.

## Returns

`204` No Content

## Errors

- `404` Not Found
- `409` Conflict
